Godfrey Beya is the Chair of
AFREKID and leads the Health and Social Care Task
Force. Godfrey is finishing his Social Policy
and Administration at the University of Nottingham. He
has been charge of a large project for people with
learning difficulties in Canterbury. Godfrey has vast
experience of working with United Nations agencies in
Africa covering UNHCR supporting Congolese refugees
living across eastern, central and southern Africa. He
is currently writing a paper on religious influence on
organ donation in the African communities in UK. For all issue of health

Leontina Mujinga brings
vibrancy and a taste of African culture to the group.
Leontina holds the company's finances and is in charge of
the all the incomings and outgoings. Leontina also heads the
finance committee and sustainability project. By
profession, She also holds
accounting qualifications. She works closely with the
Finance Officer to ensure that the charity remains in
sound financial position. Leontina is planning to join
college of nursing to study midwifery as a change in
career path. Leontina is the
board's representative to Central Africa where her

Jules is a community leader in Norwich. He is the
board's type writer and ensures that all board papers are
available on time. Jules heads the disability group
where he is the chair of the African disability group
and BME disability champion working with local
authorities and in partnership with other charities to
promote the welfare of disabled people. Jules commands a
lot of respect in the Congolese community in the UK
covering Gateway Protection towns and cities in the
whole of the United Kingdom. Jules has vast
experience of working with disabled refugees in the
Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Tanzania and
Zambia. As a disabled person, Jules has strong passion
for the welfare of disabled people. Jules can be

Gil is in charge of our International Committee dealing
with African kidney patients who visit UK either for
short period of time, tourists, as refugees, asylum
seekers, migrant workers or to get settled in UK. Gil is
also responsible for the board's policies and leads the
Equality and Diversity team that ensures the
organisation and the board complies with equality
legislation. He is also responsible for creating and
developing relationships between African kidney patients
in UK and their counterparts elsewhere in the world, and
in particular in Africa. Gil is currently developing a
programme of exchange between dialysis units and centres
in Africa and those in UK. Six dialysis units in the
East of England have signed up to the programme. Contact

Carrine Ntambwe has a
broad based experience in children, ranging from child development and
psychology, policy development and child health. Carrine is leading our project
Young Africans Kidney Programme (YAKIP) which provides
support, someone to talk to, advice, guidance and
information to children with kidney disease. Carrine is currently studying
Nursing at City College Norwich, England. She plans to take a lead on African
Child health. She is very proud to be heading up our programme that is beginning
to make real progress on African Children agenda. Carrine is currently leading
on 'Feed the Children' in Norwich where 40 percent of African school pupils are
